TUTORIALS
The tutorial workshops will be held at the "Laboratorio de Informática FIEE - CEC", located on the sixth floor of the "Edificio de Química - Eléctrica" ( Building No. 17) of the "Escuela Politécnica Nacional". For those who are interested in participating in the tutorial workshops and cannot attend the laboratory, a Zoom link will be sent to the e-mail indicated in the registration form.
Tutorial 1
Títle: Network Packet Management with Python
Wednesday, June 22 from 15:00 to 16:30
Speaker: Ing. Nelson Solano MSc.
Abstract:
Python is a high-level language, widely used to develop highly complex applications simply in different areas of science and technology. For the field of Information and Communication Technologies, given the versatility of the language, it has been applied for infrastructure automation, computer security, service development, digital signal processing, among other ways to take advantage of the capabilities offered by Python.
This presentation will show how the different network packets can be generated, customized, captured, and manipulated on a network simply with basic programming knowledge so that attendees are interested in developing personalized solutions for their different needs in the IT areas.
Note:
This tutorial will have a quota of 25 people so that they can attend in person. For virtual attendees need to have the following software installed on their computers:
- Linux operating system, preferably a Debian based distribution such as Ubuntu or Kali Linux.
- If there is no possibility of having Linux installed, Python3 must be installed on the operating system to be used.
- For Python3 the following packages must be installed: Pip, Scapy and the Spyder editor.
- As network analysis software, Wireshark must be installed with the respective configurations so that the res card can be accessed without any problems.
- During the tutorial it must also be possible to install any Python packages that may be needed during the tutorial
